Enjoy the energy of Downtown with an evening featuring local musicians, art, shopping, and more! Each Third Thursday of the month from 5-9 pm Downtown Hutchinson offers an evening for family and friends to listen to a variety of free live music (inside during cold weather) and take in the many unique boutiques, shops and art and crafts on display. During the evening stop for a sandwich and a cup of coffee, tea, or a beer, and take advantage of the many shops that stay open late.
Downtown restaurants offer everything from American, Italian, Mexican, barbecue, and gourmet cuisine; each with their own unique atmosphere. There are many family events held downtown throughout the year and lots of places to visit, including the Reno County Museum and the Hutchinson Art Association, both located in the downtown business area. Stroll through Avenue A Park, the historic George Pyle Park, and while in season, you'll find fruits and vegetables, bakery items and other homemade items at the Hutchinson Farmer's Market. For evening entertainment, treat yourself to a performance at the historic Fox Theatre , Memorial Hall, or the Flag (Family Children's) Theater.
